Devil Within - collab with Chris

Thanx saads! I guess the crashes suffer a little because of the guitar frequencies. Yes, the drums are programmed.

Holy shit, this is good! Lovely thick mix and a nice modern style. Great arrangement and a very good performance there. Keep on keepin' on!

Devil Within - collab with Chris

Tsk, tsk, you are a picky person, Dave.....!:D Yeah those backings have to be better aligned with the main vocal. So when are you setting sail for Malta? All those pretty girls are waiting for you......

Devil Within - collab with Chris

I think Chris is using the Black Album snare on this one mixed with another sample for more punch. Thanx for the comments, FTM!

I've got Steven Slate Drums too, but I'm not completely satisfied with them. Great kicks and snares, but the rest is lousy. I've got some great samples for Battery which don't need to be processed too much 'cos they already sound good as they are. There are other good programmes though like EZ...

    "Mine tanker" with real Hammond&Leslie

Very nice Sikter! Great mix and performance. Beautiful lead guitar lines. Nice flowing feel in the quieter parts. Nice work!

Haemophilliac Heroes Final Mix & Master

Jan's mastering has given the tune a nice full round sound, Ray. Well done!

Devil Within - collab with Chris

Hehe....analyzed like a true engineer! I'll pass all your comments on to Chris, Jason. That part with the improperly aliged backings kind of botheres me too, even if it's minimal. I gave Chris vocal tracks with and without effects, but since it's his song, I guess he should choose which ones to...

Devil Within - collab with Chris

Thanx Pete! I only sang on this one, the rest is Chris, but just like me, he uses Battery as a drum programme.

Hey Ray, yeah break was wonderful... You're right, the transition into the chorus could be a little smoother. Thanx for the comments!

OK, enough sunshine, enough mediterranean paradise, here I am again.....:D Here's a new song I sang on, recorded by my buddy Chris Frehse. Totally 80's, just the way Chris likes them. Would be nice if you told us what you think. Devil_within.mp3 - File Shared from Box.net - Free Online File...

    Bounce, Another Original Recording

Some notes do sound a bit off. I'm not too crazy about your drum sound. Guitar sound is pretty good. Tune itself tends to sound a bit repetitive, but you sound like a pretty able musician.

    New Metal Mix - Critique?

Cool track, great guitar tone. Bass does rumble a bit, but it didn't disturb me. Kick could use some click in it, otherwise it sounds like a muffled thump to me. Snare tends to get lost under the barrage of guitars a lot of times. Pretty good track though.

    NEW SONG "Remember" FEEDBACK appreciated

Very good, man! Good arrangement, songwriting and singing. You might want to compress the bass some, it rumbles in some spots. The ending could be a little bit more spectacular. Welcome to the site and stick around.

    Ilium - New VomitHatSteve Original

Very cool song, Steve. Only thing I can't get used to is those drums, but if that's what you were going for.... Voice sounds very good, your usual freaky style.

Country? Folky? Cheesy? Crappy? "We Got a Love" an old new original

Nice song Brad! I love the groove of it, in fact the sloppy parts are due to the fact that the drums don't keep the cool funky groove. I would take up Dave's offer for real drums. The acoustic sounds nice and crisp. I would try to fill the background a bit more, maybe doubling the acoustics. One...
