well personally i use seymor duncans but all my metal head friend use emgs and get a good sound, it seems to have a little less tone than the duncans(comparing mainly to my hot rails) but its a little less bassy and alot hotter

or maybe instead turn down lows if your eq isnt too nice. really nice for your first attemp although,yeah, it is a a little bit muddy

havent used that pickup for if you looking for a metal sound i really like the active emgs. although those will probably cost you a more, they are REALLY HOT and IMO are really good for that kinda metal

havent used it personally but i have heard alot of good things, also the superlux fk2 is a good choice with a kinda similar sound(atleast with the couple of recordings i have heard of the mics) but if you look hard enough you can find the d6 and d112 for about 40-50 more. but yeah back to topic...

yeah wether he likes it or not make him eq it, unless ofcourse he is paying you alot of money and likes the sound, the customer is always right ;)

i say d6, you can get them new for about 160, awsome mic(but depending on the style sometimes the sound of a d112 can do really good) personally i dont like the beta much

omf, im not sure if sonar and sonar home studio are the same but if you can save as omf then you should be able to
