    Flesh and Blood

    Flesh and Blood

I like the snare nice and fat too, Greg, in fact I boosted the lows on this sample. And yes, I want the drummer to beat the shit out of it, too! I guess the direction I'm going for now is a bit better tailored for the band, although it's not really intentional. Steve played the guitar solo on...

    Flesh and Blood

Haha...thanx, man!:D I'll check out all those points. I mixed this one without my sub which is probably why it's so boombastic. I'll check out all those points you mentioned. I love British Steel though.....:guitar:

    Flesh and Blood

Hi Ray! Yes, I might have pushed the bass a little too loud. I went for a growling metal sound, but I'll adjust it in the next mix, it seems to be louder than the guitars. The drums are programmed as usual. I've borrowed a Roland E-drumkit now, so I can get my new drummer to play them and I'll...

    Flesh and Blood

Damn....I keep finding less and less time to visit my favourite site.:( Gotta lot of catching up to do... Anyway, here's another new one. This is definitely NOT the final mix, it still doesn't sound right to my ears, but now they're shot anyway (also due to the Hammer of Doom festival I went to...

    Happy Halloween from Greg Munster!

Ha....trust you not to disappoint on Halloween, your favourite holiday!:D It does sound very bright to my ears, but hey, if that's what you were going for.... now, let's go smash some pumpkins!:drunk::D:D:D:D

    Heavy Melodic Metal!

Awesome power! The cymbals sound pretty shrill, you gotta retouch them again. The guitars sound a bit too scooped for my liking but that's just my opinion, I like more mids.... The bass is murdurously good. Don't fuck this up with a growling vocal. You're on the right track so keep working at it!

Weapons Of Ass Destruction! - fresh excrement from Greg

I laughed myself sick at the witty title....:laughings::D More Greg awesomeness, I can't find anything wrong anywhere. This is a musical steam-roller and your lyrics are anything but dumb, buddy. Guess the next Greg CD is gonna be as awesome as the first one.;)

    Bridge to the Sun

Thanx Ray! Not a bad idea, they're already panned about 75% in opposite ways, maybe with some more panning they might sound better.

    Bridge to the Sun

New version, guys... bridge to the sun_master_steve_mp3.mp3 - File Shared from Box.net - Free Online File Storage I was having trouble with the intro so I asked Steve to play his own solo, heck, he'll have to play it live later anyway.... He gave it a really nice spanish feel.

"CPR" First Metal/hardcore ep song single

Nope, the only way to get this right is to scrap this mix completely. (sorry for being so blunt, I actually quite like the track ....) Start off with the guitars, because they sound like they're coming out of a tin can. Don't make low-cuts where there's no need to and raise those low mids for...

    'Sagacious' by Rockonin

Sounded pretty good to me. Not an expert on this genre, but I like it.

Moody rocker - Live performance in one take

Great song, FTM! The mix sonds basically very good, I thought I was hearing that voice somewhere in the background in the chorus, that needs to be louder, it's hardly audible. Otherwise sounds very good to me. Nice work for a live take.

Judas Priest "Breaking The Law" cover !!!!!!

Great version, Mike! 10 for the performance, about half of that for the mix: it sounds too thin, especially the guitars lack beef. The bass needs some low end and I actually thought the vocals were a little low, but I believe that's due to the way the guitars are EQed. Don't worry about the sub...

    Borrowed Time

Actually the whole kit has a room verb on it, but I pulled it back a little in the second mix. The guitars are recorded with a Sansamp GT2 with different amp settings for each one and then just EQed a little on the bus. They also have a room verb on them. I actually quite like them on this song...

Heatmiser - Thanx Pete! Glad to hear bass sounds OK.:) Bushmaster - Hey buddy! What's up? I haven't listened to Triumph for years, but I always liked their style. About 30 years ago I used to do I live for the Weekend, that was fun! Ohio is pretty far from where I am....but you've got my...

    Borrowed Time

Thanx Triple! Yeah, that's the impression I'm getting now, definitely have to fix the vocals in the verse and snare could be a little louder.
