    Joey's version of Marillion's "Kayleigh"

No problem man, everyone's entitled to his own opinion. I was pretty hard on ya too.....;)

    Joey's version of Marillion's "Kayleigh"

Hey Gerry! Yeah it's my ESP vintage Strat. It's the one I use most for leads, 'cos it's got a great neck. Thanx for the comment!

    Joey's version of Marillion's "Kayleigh"

Thanx for the tips Jason! I'll be mixing again anyway. Damn, I wonder what picked the click up, must have been one of the rythm guitar pick-ups, 'cos I used the monitors for playback, not my phones. Regarding that frequency, I'll have to check the individual tracks, because there's no EQing on...

    Joey's version of Marillion's "Kayleigh"

Who said anything about respecting the track? It's a song I like and this is my rendition of it. And yes it's metal which is the way I want it to be. Obviously not your music.

    Joey's version of Marillion's "Kayleigh"

I don't usually do covers except maybe the occasional collab....... but since my daughter was named after this song, I thought I'd record it for my wife. It was and still remains a great song. This is a first mix, so if you think there's anything I should fix, i'd appreciate the comments...

    Two To Show. New Tune

Sounds a bit too mono to me, everything's concentrated in the middle. Especially the guitars should be panned out further. You've got a whole sound panorama, you should try to use it better. Not a big friend of the guitar sound, it's quite scratchy. Nice catchy song though and the singing's...

    Metal!

The guitars are way too fizzy and scooped, no mids at all, hence no body at all. And they're too loud. They totally hurt the ears. Take Farview's advice.

First song in 11 months, thank goodness!

Very good song and a well-balanced mix. Yes, at times the voice is minimally pitchy but nothing that can't be fixed. Guitars sound great to me, very limpid and clear. Are they miced or sim? Nice work!

    The Fools You Bet On

Oh yeah, this has Wiggymusic written all over it, beautiful song! How have you been, bro? Piano sounds really nice, is that a plug-in or real? And of course your haunting voice really is the element. The lead guitar sounds a bit too loud, maybe you should try to pan further it so it doesn't...

    Virgin voyage into Electronica...

Brilliant euro-pop stuff here, Jason. I honestly don't find anything to criticise in the mix. I guess running a commercial studio, you have to keep an open mind to different styles and this is a fine example. Nice work!

Gypsy #4 - New tune churned out from the relentless Jongleurs song factory... :-)

Pretty good tune, Armistice! Nicely executed and a beautifully balanced mix. The vocal harmonies are very nice, the guitar work very good. Bit too heavy for a death metal tune though....:p:p:p:p:p

    bit of rocking nonsense

There he goes again having doubts.... It's fantastic. And those drums sound pretty interesting. Have NI got a demo version of Studio Drummer out? Gotta check it out....

    Raw Metal Song (Instrumental)

please, please, please, get to know the basics first....get yourself a DAW (Reaper for free...?) and an interface. Learn how to use them, but taking it easy and reading a lot about home recording (plenty of stuff here and on the internet). Judging from this track, you are nowhere ready to start...

Stuck here in Edinburg, Am I going insane?

Hey Phil, this isn't you....!:D You can sing...! Vocals are a bit low in the mix or the rythm gits are too loud. Timing is bit off sometimes. Weak point for me are the drums, you could programme them a bit better, maybe keeping them a bit more simple without too many fills. And maybe better...

    paper cup

Damn great tune, Pete! I found the vocals just a tad too low, but otherwise, a great mix. Love the laid-back but dirty feel of it. And I totally dig the bull-horn vocals.;) Very original sounding stuff!

Monstars (2012) with Joey and Brad

HOLY MUTHAF##&$§G JEEZUS....!!!!!:eek::eek: Love this new version and what you did to the voice, bro! It sounds so damn original, but then you are one of the most original guys around here, so no surprise.;) Great, great, great work, Keith, and Brad's input has given it more colour!

    Funk off..........

Fantastic recording and mixing, bro.....;) I listened to the new mix right away.... I really can't find anything to criticize here, it sounds so damn professional. I totally love the crack of that snare. Everything else is sitting in its place. Your singing keeps getting better (not that it was...
