    The Swan

Try this version, its a different violin take. The rest is about the same. another swan If you don't like it, you won't like it. I can live with that.:D Thats probably (possibly?) because it's been bastardized over the years. It's a swan, not an Eagle.;) Cellists have turned this into the...

    The Swan

Thanks for listening Demented, Erock and Shawn. I admire and respect him. He has excellent intonation, something not always found in that style.:)

    The Swan

Part of my continuing exploration of a kinder, gentler DavidK.:D The Swan Any comments appreciated. This is my arrangement of a piece by Saint-Saens, from "Carnival of the Animals".

FInally finished! - Faeries in the Glen

BIIIIIIG difference.:D Yes, this sounds very good. As I mentioned the previous time, I like the wide panning of the percussion, which was not coming through on myspace. Your pal does an excellent job on his solo, it really fits in with what you have. A very mellow listen, very nice.:)

FInally finished! - Faeries in the Glen

Hmmmm, can you post it whereever you had the last version? Myspace doesnt have very good sound quality. The other version seemed a bit more open and lively, and I am assuming it's the myspace quality.

who says you need "real" instruments :)

And the kick in this case, sounds very square and fake. Guitars sound pretty good and quasi- realistic. Keep going with the tune!:D

Cover Of A Cover- Boney Maronie

Maybe a tad too much.:o Very cool! Drums sound fine, they could be a bit louder. I have EZ drummer and think its pretty good. The vibe of the song is very good, sounds like classic rock, very nice solos.

    Prelude continued...

Very nice on #3, good job. Seem to be a few artifacts or something from that. I would back it off myself but it's working OK. The patch is fine. The lick at 2"50 isnt exactly a "cello lick", it wouldnt work on a cello but it doesnt matter. I see you have put more dynamics in...

    Prelude continued...

Sounds very good, lots of good ideas and playing here. Couple of ideas: 1. When the piano at the beginning goes super-fast, it doesnt sound real. You might consider a synth and making it more "effect-like". 2. Piano needs more variance throughout in terms of volume and velocity of...

    Afternoon of a faun

Thanks for listening FS, Joey, Llarion, WhiteStrat and demented. I did something like that. I doubled it with another flute then put a pad way in the background. Actually I made quite a few changes to the piece, thanks to the swell comments here. I won't repost, I will let this one sit for a...

    Hobart Paving

Cool track. She has a very nice voice. She hits a few clunkers but overall it's pretty solid. Drums could use a lil spicing up with some fills. As Antonfan said, pan the synth stuff a little wider. This reminds me a bit of the group "Rennaisance". It's very good, a few drum alterations and...

    All There Is

Nice. Very cool song, excellent vibe. Kinda sounds like Sting meets Van Morrison.:D I can only echo the others with the drums. PERSONALLY, I would go with latin percussion stuff and ditch the drums altogether. I think I say that on every one of your tracks.:D:D All you have is a metronome right...

    Afternoon of a faun

Thanks for checkin it out Xeries, Rokket and Riffmaster. I've made a lot of progress on this. I'm not ready for a reposting but I found that I can get a lot of the emotional stuff better simply by "riding the faders". It now has a lot more contrast in volumes. It's always an option. If I end...

    Afternoon of a faun

Thanks for listening, Bubba and Ray. Wanna see the score? This is the sheet music. Look at pages 17 and 18. It's a good example of how many things are going on at one time. I dont use one cello patch, I mix 5 together. Same with basses. The piece is deceptive as there is always a bunch of...

    Afternoon of a faun

Thanks for the listens Yonce, Shawn and MS. Edit: Antichef snuck in, thanks! Good suggestion, I am doing that currently, making it a bit wider. 36 violin tracks: 15 firsts 11 seconds 9 violas/cello doubles 1 solo Lots of synth tracks, at least 75. The flute is the best it can...

Stop Posting Covers In This Forum!! PLEASE!!

Or, we could leave it the same way as it has been for the past 10 years and really not give a crap that some tool doesnt think covers meet his high musical standards.;):p

    Afternoon of a faun

Thanks for checkin it out Gerry, True and DC. I havent cemented them in yet. I have lots of thunder to choose from. I cant decide if it is a good idea or a stupid one. Its more of a sample issue. It's begging for a real flute. I struggled with the flute part, I tried to make it a...

    Psych Ward - Greg_L original

Really cool. At the beginning the hi-end of the cymbal stuff is either too loud or too bright. In the song itself it seems to work fine. A fun song. I might pan the backing "wooooooaah" vocals a little harder left or right so they don'e compete. Solo could be a little louder. Low end of the...

    Halloween music

Pretty cool. Drums could be louder and brighter to cut through. In general, I find the ghostly effects to be too loud and too present. The musical aspects need to be more up front and the effects in back. They would be a lot creepier that way IMO. Needs a pipe organ desperately.;) Very cool...
