I totally agree. I tell my writing students the same thing; if you write often, you'll have numerous duds, but you can't get to the good stuff without first getting the duds out of the way. I use a sports analogy -- Jordan (insert other great athlete here) missed many, many shots and played...

Nice melody! The mix -- bring up the vocals and add a bit of reverb to bring the song to life. It sounds like you're in a closet -- a good place to record, but then you want to add "presence"... Good tune, though... I enjoyed it. I like the lyrics, too. G

I, too, like the SP thing going on. It doesn't seem to follow through enough in the rest of the song, which is almost too quiet, and slow, like others have noted. I like the lyrics, but the vocals crack during the chorus -- the backing vox is especially weird -- too loud? out of tune? Sounds...

I like your voice. It reminds me a bit of Harry Chapin. There's a nice melody here, too. I didn't notice any clipping. Have you considering adding other instruments? It might help fill this out. Just a thought. Nice recording! G

Very nice...other than the hiss, it sounds great. The lead gets a bit messy around 1:50, but the overall playing is superb. You certainly know your way around the fretboard. As I listen, the hi-hats are also bugging me. A victim of hair dryer, too? Groove on, G :cool:
