True, but it's gotten a little busier lately. If more people would chip in, it wouldn't be that way. I'm also on GuitarAmpBoard. Many people from HarmonyCentral have migrated over there. That's a real good one and full of great guitarist with amazing sounds. You should join there also. :D
(I...
If you're price range is set in concrete, one that I just thought of is the Roland Tri-Capture.
Amazon.com : Roland TRI-CAPTURE Audio Interface - ...read the reviews at the bottom of the page. (That's usually the first thing I do, is look it up on Amazon and read the reviews.)
I believe it is...
True enough. OP, if you can put together some more money it really opens up your options as to what you can add on in the future without buying an interface again with even more options and capabilities.
Then what's the argument? (I think) Reaper can have multiple MIDI interfaces. The 2i2 almost fits the 'under $100' limit the OP is asking for. That's who we're trying to help, right?
Does it run on MIDI? Or is it USB? I don't know, so I just threw the 2i2 out there. If it's MIDI he would need at least the 2i4 for MIDI, but that would put it up around $150 like the one you suggested. I have a Korg control surface that is MIDI, but it's USB input and set the MIDI control in my...
The 222 has a 3.5mm jack for headphone monitoring, and whatever daw you're recording into should also be able to monitor it, although you usually need to enable track input monitoring or something like that.
I had a Bandit for a few years and was always throwing it in my car to go jam. It never missed a lick. It also takes pedals, especially dirt pedals, really well. It hooked me on Peavey amps. I have a Vypyr right now.
Uh, no. Very nice setup, I'm jealous. I was beginning to feel like the stoned stranger with a control surface for Reaper. It's real handy for moving sub-groups of faders and for moving something just a touch, that my mouse has trouble doing. That studio thread is nice for dream setups, but waaay...
Ok, I see it now. Thanks. What about Reaper hardware. Is everyone just using a single display and a mouse? That's what I'm most curious about. :thumbs up:
 :laughings: I shoulda seen that coming.
Seriously, I'd like to see some hardware and studios. Desktops, reference speakers, acoustic treatments, all that good stuff.
Show me your setup. I'm curious what kind of Reaper setups everyone has. Here's mine:
This is all I have worth showing, so far. Let me see your studio!
...but there are a few things even my little rinky-dink control surface can do that I love. I can set a fader to control groups of faders all set at different levels, and each fader on the control surface has different mode switches to multiply the functions. :thumbs up:
