FS Like New Joe Meek 3Q. Used twice - in perfect condition.

Joe Meek sells well on E-Bay. I'd suggest auctioning it with a $150 starting bid (plus postage) and giving it a 7 day run ending on a Saturday or Sunday evening.

FS Like New Joe Meek 3Q. Used twice - in perfect condition.

I use it for vocals when I'm using a ribbon mic. I use it mainly for the preamp and add just a touch of compression. I never really bother with the EQ.

I have one. Adds a touch of darkness and a mountain of warmth. Absolutely love it.

    Tube mics

No need. You have entered every single tube thread with your aggressive sales pitch for Stellar microphones and by so doing have basically shut down any meaningful discussion. It's time for you to step aside and allow other board users some peaceful enjoyment.

    Tube mics

Like I said "Every time some-one starts a tube thread around here it ends up being hijacked by the same individual, promoting one particular tube mic on E-Bay".

Using my car to advertise my band and studio

How about a sign saying "Break into my trunk, it's full of sound gear!" or "Hey! I've got all sorts of expensive equipment in my basement and as you can see, I'm not home right now!"? Sorry. Couldn't resist but I am a little serious too. Guard your gear.

    Tube mics

You know, I've enjoyed the AKG Solid Tube so much that I haven't even finished experimenting with the other three that I own. The AKG came with an awesome military tube but swapping it out for a Telefunken ECC801S added some clarity that I could never have imagined. I still have the Behringer T1...

    Recording violin?

Only if you agree that most violins . That's not always the case though. Some are downright harsh but others are absolutely sweet. You really have to listen to that particular instrument and know what you want from it. What Xdrummer says about room sound and giving the fiddle some air is exactly...

    Tube mics

I'm sorry but every time some-one starts a tube thread around here it ends up being hijacked by the same individual, promoting one particular tube mic on E-Bay. Let's hope that doesn't happen this time. The AKG Solid Tube is a $1300 tube mic that can be bought for around $550 used. It's a bit...

    Recording violin?

I prefer a decent ribbon mic (Golden Age) and place it about 12" above the fiddle however I've also had excellent results with the Blue Bluebird and even a tube mic. It really depends on what you are trying to get out of the instrument. Some will recommend using two mics just as you would with a...

1st Condenser..(vocals, electric guitar, room mic, acoustic, etc) suggestions?

And I am finding the Bluebird to be extremely useful for various applications. Both are excellent brands. I don't own an AT4040 but do have the ATM450. Nice wee mic.
