the recording quality (to me, and im not super experienced) didn't sound godawful...but when your playing between chords mute it out or something.clean it up. But then again as other people have said if thats the tone your going for than hey, as long as your happy.

you forgot the gain control knobs.....my first time through i had to spend more on buying a gain control console than my preamp was. And then i found behringer. Can you beleive that they can combine knobs, inputs, phantom power and the amazing "ultra pro" sound all for around 100 bucks.

well if money is all your talking about i have to say that their is know best alternative for an sm57. THey are dirt cheap.you can find one on ebay for like 60 dollars. Seriously save for an extra day and get the sm57/58 just my opinion though.

Soldano's sound pretty amazing but if your on a little smaller budet im in a band with a sound like i dunno a mixture between alice in chains and smashing pumpkins and the guitarist sound is amazing...he uses a gibson standard double cut through a JCM2000 and it is really powerful.
