If your running a recording studio with a really nice protools rig but you also have a really nice tape machine like a Studer A800, when do you know when to track to tape and then go into pro tools or when to just go straight to pro tools. Or with that nice of a tape would you mostly always...

yeah it looks like im just going to do that. The dell bridge wont work with the laptop im getting, and there is no way i will drop a grand for the mobile elctronics expansion box.

to redeem myself, i know what a motherboard is, however, i dont have a manual because i put the computer together from parts i got from random people.

I plan on moving to record with a laptop instead of my desktop using delta1010LT. Will getting a firewire a/d converter to use with my preamp be enough or do i need something else as well. also. what firewire unit would have as good sound quality as the delta1010LT for no more that 400 used...

Im 99.9% sure this doesn't exist but i thought i would ask for sure and at least give people a reason to give me a hard time. Is there any device that i can plug a PCI device into which has a usb or firewire output, allowing pci connection to a laptop.

the RAM was bought with the HDD, but i did use it for the last two months, however, the computer it was in gets used once a week at most.
