While I have not (yet) purchased any pro-audio gear from Monoprice I have purchased a fair amount of other cables (HDMI, charging cables, etc.) and I am very happy with them. If you don't want to solder your own I would go with one from Monoprice.

Wow, that's weird. I have no idea what's going on, but just a guess…does your interface use drivers? Is it Windows? Maybe it's a software or config issue that just came at the "wrong" time?

^ What Mickster said. ^ Also, I didn't look at the specs of the machine, but I bet you will have to purchase all new RAM. Unless your machine has 4 memory slots and only 3 are filled now you won't be able to add just 1GB of RAM. You have to add it in even amounts so buying a new memory...

I have a Classic Vibe tele in Butterscotch Blonde and I love it. Feels and sounds awesome. I would definitely recommend it if you're on a budget and want a nice tele.
