    Programming Panning Sweeps Cubase Sx

Hum, I will try the volume trick. Well lets just say I guess my ears wern't as good then as they are now because I can here the panning quite well now. Yah I drew in some automation and it sounded great. Is there anyway to rig up a joystick as a controller?

    Programming Panning Sweeps Cubase Sx

Yeah, I am aware of that. I read the manual a bit and found out that cubase sx has a built in 3d panner plugin, I will try that. Maybe I just need to spend a lot more time fiddling with it to get the results I want.

Commercial volume question for the mastering gurus...

Wow, I need to post up a song and ask for advice. Yeah I would back the opinion of Blue Bear and Massive, they obviously know what they are talking about. I would say after listening to the instrumental eqing is your primary concern, the compression next. You mixed the levels pretty well and...

    Programming Panning Sweeps Cubase Sx

I use Cubase Sx 2, the effect I am going for is panning. Exactly what I am looking for; A way to create the effect of a sound that sweeps the phrase of the sound (for instance 600ms) and go from left to right with the sound(being smooth might I add). Possibly there are just limits to Cubase's...

    general mac vs pc question

You can build a top of the line pc for under a grand if you have some parts already. Best motherboard 200 Best memory, gig pc3200 200 Very Fast Processor, ie p4 3.2 150 bare fat system is 550 for the fastest shit on the market almost psu and case, or you might already have this 0-400...

Control Surface vs. Analog Board for Mixing

I have a 2496 audiophile from delta on its on irq with 384 samples on asio in Cubase Sx. Also when I zoom in and out while playing it will make clicks, but this does not affect the music or recording thankfully. I talked to Stienberg, but I find there tech support useless as waiting on the phone...

    Sequence of Mixing Reverb Question

I figured out the probelm. When I load my "cubase" user I manual must hit cntl-alt-del and close the norton crap. I also close all other services like the printer etc. I have all the services memorized anyway. Untill I get my other computer running for the net, I will just have to put up with this.

Control Surface vs. Analog Board for Mixing

Yah I tried the mackie uad-1 and it gave me clicking, while the tech support did not exist. I returned the card to zzounds. I would much rather have the ability to set up everything in the computer, so much easier then using a mixer using aux sends to a hardware effects unit. I found that when I...

Sound Acoustic Tiles, not glueing to a wall.

MicroTraps cost $119.99 each, those are the cheapest I see, while the normal MiniTraps cost $179.99 each. To these absorb outside noises also and not just interior noise I suppose?

What the hell is wrong with my Cubase Sx 2

I have a gig of ram. What I need 2-4 gigs?

    general mac vs pc question

I recommend getting a computer just for audio. I do both internet and audio with mine and can't wait till I build my other computer for the internet. Then I can strip almost every windows xp service and my computer will run 100x faster, more stable, etc. No I did not just lose my woman. Yet...

What the hell is wrong with my Cubase Sx 2

it is really annoying when it bumps up to 40% then you dump a plugin a 5 then one makes it jump up to 80-90% and it is not stable anymore. I hate going past 50%, since it fucks up my audio (ie clicks and pops) past 80%

What the hell is wrong with my Cubase Sx 2

I don't understand what the probelm is. I have a nice legit copy of Cubase Sx 2.0 Some projects I load have 0% cpu, ie small ones with no effects yet. Other projects I do have 15-20 tracks with no effects yet and boom, 40-50% cpu gone on my 2.4ghz p4. What the hell is the probelm?

    general mac vs pc question

Well I have built tons of pc's and crap, I build this ultra nice pc. Sorry but to me it sorta blows. 2.4 ghz p4 with a gig of cosair ram on a abit is-7 and it is not fast enough for me. I would hold out for a year and then build a computer. I wasted 1,000 bucks for something that totally sucks...

Control Surface vs. Analog Board for Mixing

I am seeking the need to mix my levels live. I used to mix on my mackie board 1604 vlz pro, but it has no compression. It was alright for basic mixing to two tracks, but using the Daw in Cubase Sx 2 is much better. So my mackie mixer is pretty maxed out, aux sends and all. I have a patchbay...

    Sequence of Mixing Reverb Question

Ok, so what I am doing is wrong. I should add reverb into the recording as the last step, or at the last point possible. I would love to have enough outputs and aux sends to do what you are talking about but I do not. I have a mackie 1604vlz pro, and am about do get a lucid 8824. So the max I...

Sound Acoustic Tiles, not glueing to a wall.

Well I read an article in EM a while ago, in particular about large dp dips. It prompted me to understand what was going on in my room. That must have been 4-5 months ago though as I basicly have stopped reading the magazine because I have been busy with school. Odd that I find time for internet...

    Sequence of Mixing Reverb Question

When I record my tracks some have reverb on them. While I find it is nessary to compress these before entering my daw, still probelms persist. I find it super annoying if I compress the track again, or during mix down and the reverb sounds that were low come up and sound like shit. Should you...

    Ringing EARS!

I am 22 and got into all this sound protection stuff early. I notice if I goto a small bar with music at 90db that I can't hear as well the next day. So I don't play music really that day and allow my ears to heal basicly. The ears are like a muscle, once you stress the muscle it must heal...

    Normalizing question

that is pretty funny, I just realized that using L2 brick wall limits the tracks lol. A compressor does a different job altogether wow. I thought L2 was just a compressor, whoops.
