Well thanks for the info on that dbx 266xl. I am not sure about the art, I used a preamp at college from them, and it was very basic. Not really like a piece of art like an avalon preamp or etc, just something to do the job. No fun in that heh, maybe I might just save up for the joe meek dual...
damn it has been a long time, I forgot about that thing. In relation to the tc electronic fireworx is this unit better or worse?
Ps I make lots of techno, psytrance, trance, rock, hip hop, so I like a very diverse unit
damn ddr in dual channel at 1gig makes your computer a whole lot faster as well.
I have pc3200 (400mhz) Corsair 3200 twinx 1gig. Corsair makes the best memory on the market. As well you can buy this memory on ebay used for $160 and it is backed by a lifetime warranty it is so good.
I was thinking about both these compressors. I have a RNC and love it and was going to get a joe meek dual channel, but those are sorta $$$.
I was wondering if either of these compressors is any good or has any character. The RNC is sorta just functional and boring, but it does its job well of...
But whatever
I guess if you like protools that bad get it. Yet cubase or logic, dp is much cheaper, if you just want to run soft synths and soft plugs. The only reason I see for protools is going all the way, ie. a TDM system with a mix board and tons of cards.
But what is truely the point...
I used to have those boss pedals, those sucked ass compared to the electro harmonix and the moog filter does sound like god itself. For some reason I think dan electro pedals suck a nut just like the boss pedals do.
well protools is cool, I cubase sx.... I have used that Motu digital performer and sonar.... guess what ALL MODERN SEQUENCERS ARE THE SAME DAMN THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Logic, Cubase, Sonar, Digital Peformer, Protools are all the same and one is no better that an other, since they are all...
Hi, well its christmas and we do this secret santa thing, me and my sisters. The price is $80 and I was thinking of what to ask for.
So what do you think is the coolest item to pump sound through for $80 (used I am guessing)
I a jomox and roland tb-303 that I love to pump through the aux sends...
Um I tried building some of those piaa kits, well I ordered 3 and finished 1 and it doesn't work. The other two kits are halfway done... I wonder what I did wrong? I have replaced knobs on my nord lead 3, yamaha ex5, I fixed this yamaha dx200, so why can't I build from scratch?
I currently have a Delta 2496 audiophile, runs to a mackie 1604 VLZ Pro out to Genelec 1031 a's. I don't really need tons of inputs for the recording, since I generally only record a stereo track at a time anyways. I only record in 24 bit, 44.1 since I feel the difference between 96 and 44.1 is...
So I am using my Nord Lead 3 to control my Albino Softsynth. I am playing a bass patch and I press octave lower on the Nord Lead 3, but it doesn't respond in Albino and only plays so high or low. Is there something I am missing here?
oh, I have seen the audio out for the vst's, just never put the pieces together that I could run effects on them. Thanks for that tip, that is obviously where the audio comes out.
You guess right, I meant I programmed some midi data in cubase and now I want it to be audio. I have used the mixdown for the entire mix plenty of times, I never new you could solo it and record one part.
Thanks for the input.
Ok so I have cubase running and I program a line for absynth and its good to go. Right now I have the output of the computer goto my mackie mixer and then I select subout 1 and 2 and I sent those outs back into the computers inputs while muting the input to avoid a loop.
Whatever it works fine...
So I am looking into getting a little one of these for right at my mixing desk. I have a nord lead 3, but that is to big so it is on a rack. I am looking into these microkontrol by korg and the novation remote 25 or extreme. I like the idea both have joysticks that I can use to program panning...
