Ive always had trouble when it comes to EQ. Can someone tell me if there will ever or should ever be a point in a mix when 2 sounds occupy the same frequency range? or should they all always be serperated in a mix? I hope I made this question understandable enough. Thanks in advance

Have you actually done this before? And is this the only way to get this to work. Also, how do you send the MIDI signals out of logic to the X7? Ive read all I could read and it doesnt seem to explain this topic much in either Rolands manual or Logic. Thanks!

yes. my other question in the noobs forum is unrelated to this. i seen a video of a guy using software to find out what key his 'KICK' was, and then changing the key of his kick to match the scale of the song. to be honest, it was a basic club / hip hop sounding kick with not much tonal value...

OK...this is a total newbie question....I was wondering if altering a sounds EQ could actually change its KEY in anyway. for instance...if I play a C4 note on the piano and I alter the EQ of the sound it produces dramatically will this change the Key in anyway?

Hi. I had a mixing question about samples and being in key. Now I know instrumental wise you would want to be in the correct key when it comes to violins, guitar, piano....ext. But I have also notice a few people mentioning having 'Kicks' in key as well. Is this common to do this?
