I've thought a bit about this vis-a-vis reamping. The final guitar tone is going to be colored by the guitar that was used to make the recording. I.e. I don't think I can record a Strat and Reamp it to sound like a Les Paul even though I am recording using a line input.
It appears that Audacity has a lot of ancillary utility as a general sound file editor.
I'm going to go for it.
Thanks for the advice! :thumbs up: :guitar: :listeningmusic:
I sit on my couch playing guitar through my eleven rack with headphones and sometimes I come up with a lick that I would like to be able to remember later.
I would like to install a simple, preferably free, program on a crappy little notebook computer that I own, so I can plug my eleven rack...
Radio has been normalized forever, and it's a good thing.
When you're out snowboarding, jogging, whatever and your player is in your pocket it is a major PIA to constantly have to fiddle with the unit to turn down songs that all of a sudden start blasting.
The only way to make it better, IMO...
Songs are recorded at all different volumes. I deal with a lot of songs (30,000 song library, typical playlist around 1000 songs). I end up using software to set the mp3 volume to each song (I use 92 db), and then I still have to run everything through an ART Pro VLA II to get it to all sound...
oh, sorry ... :o
That's even weirder.
So, what made you think of trying to promote yourself in the Czech Republic, and how are you going about doing it?
Are your songs (I see you do some covers) sung in English?
I was trying to get things going in L.A. in the 80's, and working with music classified ads there I met some really odd people.
One was Angelyne, the Billboard Queen. She paid to be famous by having billboards with her "sexy" likeness plastered around Hollywood and Beverly Hills. We discussed...
A professional came and taught a songwriting class in high school.
"Baby Baby Don't Get Hooked On Me" was actually written as a song-writing pun based on the hook of the song actually using the term "hooked."
I think you've exposed a chemical element to judging the quality of art. If I like a song, it gets me high. I think the mechanism is peptides. Your own brain releases peptides on different stimuli than some others. Not good or bad. I'll bet Miley Cyrus' fans are operating (and handing over their...
It's cool how you can get to meet people from all over the world here. :thumbs up:
I just got my modest home studio put back together (moved it upstairs), and I 'm back up and running as of today.
Well Done!
It is great to see something like this to aspire to.
I may have missed it, but I am curious as to whether having now created such a well polished product has resulted in any producers or distributors showing an interest in you.
I know a lot of people here (not me) dream of...
Interesting, I learn something new every day.
Do you have a source on the internet where one might learn more?
(Google is not being my friend on this one).
you can't have one, Pete already trashed them all. :D
Seriously, you could have one made, but I can't imagine why you would want to, except perhaps for a permanent installation.
