Four string bass isn't an option, for the music that is going to be played. I use 7 string guiars (and no this isn't a Korn rip off project) and it's nice to have some one else with the same range of sound. Also it's not hard to pick up a 5 string bass nowadays, They're every where now.

I believe Rush uses half real drums and half V-drums, Well live anyway I don't know about the studio if the V-drums are being used anymore.

I personally like the crappy 70's drum sounds better than todays stuff. All the drums on most albums out now are just way to bright and overpowering.

I can't ever decide so my choice is Line 6.

Primus-The Brown Album. Drummer-Brain (now of new GNR) I didn't now how good the songs were until I heard the live versions of the them. The dum recording is so bad that you don't even know you're hearing good music(if that makes any sense).

His store used to carry Fenders then discontinued carring them. "His" reason he gave me was when fender went mainly over seas the quality of the product wasn't as good, Like the guitars were being rushed. Also the relation they had with the store wasn't good. He belives Fender only really cares...

He went in to more detail than that, Also he was pushing Hamer Guitars (which I don't care for ). Also I know people that own some old Fenders and say the new ones do not compare. I was just trying to your guys thoughts on the whole thing.

Thanks a lot I should have known not to trust the guy at the music store (that doesn't carry fender products) It's also funny the Geddy Lee's bass was mentioned because that is the one I want except I don't think a 5-string version is available.

In my opinion this is the best electric 7 string guitar out there (I couldn't afford one brand new, so I ought it off of ebay) . It has the sound plus great looks (the uv777k does anyways pyrimid inlays, mirror pick guard). but then agian this is just my opinion, it has all the features I like...

Yeah! Once you get use to them you can't let them go. Also I play all of the strings on them. Anytime a guy says he has a 7 string guitar someone always gives him a hard time.
