I just recorded a track. three verses and now Im trying to bounce it down so that i can record the hooks and addlips. Is this a bouncing process or freezing process? I'm just trying to free up some space for the mixdown process

I have pt8 on the mbox and everytime I load up a track now for some reason it keep saying ( File names that start with a period character should be renamed. The MAC OS can have diffculties with such files. what in the hell does this means

Should you import your tracks through file then stroll down to import audio or go through the window>workspace section? and one more thing, If I do use the import audio upload, when I convert a track, It has Apply SRC. I never check that box but what does that mean?

I was mixing a track with pt 8 le and I was learning about the phase scope. When using it, does the little green ball suppose to stay in the middle, to the right side or the left?

I know a mac is the best source for recording music but I have a pc for now. My question is that I have window xp on my computer running PT le 8 and I wanted to put windows vista on it. should I just leave it be or add vista. What is the advantages and disadvantages of both xp and vista?

When im stacking my vocals, i normally pan my 1st lead straight up.My 2nd stack panned to the left and my 3rd stack panned to the right. Is this a good procedure or should i just record one verse and dont stack anything. Just use effects to get the sound i want and just only stack my chorus...

So just highlight the part I want to echo and use and effect from the audiosuite effects or RTAS effects or does it matter?
