Yeah I think you're right about it only recording mono tracks...which is a bit of a pain really..I was planning on transferring the mix straight to the computer with it all paned out already. Do I need a different USB interface?

Thanks Bisson, I'll try it on the kick and play about with it a bit more. Thanks for the PM, would be great if you could mix it - I should be getting a USB interface in the next few days so hopefully I'll be able to get a better transfer of the individual tracks as the bass wasn't really working...

So I'd literally just run 2 cables from the line out of the 488 into the usb interface which plugs into the computer? There's a firestudio on ebay £120, worth a bid?

I recently discovered this band from Liverpool, UK and found that their album was recorded on a Tascam 448 mk II and it sounds amazing! Highly recommended for How did they get such a good sound from the 488? I mean there's not even any tape hiss...it's so clear. Expensive stuff??

Thanks for the input :) I like the idea of the lead track being on the EP like a single release. I think I'll go with that seeing as it's just until the LP comes out and will be next to nothing to buy (if not free)!
