I have used the 990 on acoustic and I like to place the mic at the 12th fret. It is a bit harsh mic and mostly sits alone in the corner... I have found an excellent mic for cheap.. The M-Audio Nova is one of the best mic's I have ever used for $100. Anyway, try it at the 12th fret.. I always...

I am not a fan of this kind of music but..... Very good recording... It seemed a little short on lows for this type of music. Overall good job for what it is.
