i dont think the u7 tube is the same gain wise as the ax7. i put erotubes in mine and swapped the 5532 op amp for a 2134. it sounds sweet and quiet . probably better than a vtb-1 and blue tuber.
my best little trick is to haul my p.a. speakers out of the basement and set them in the window next to the front door. mic up the door chime and when the next visitor rings the bell there in for a sonic treat. BING BOOONG!!!!!!!!
i got a whole page of settings that say things like this is an eddie vanhalen sound or an ad/dc sound. it just doesnt say this is a jcm-800. im only talkig about the original sans amp. again iyts supposed to give you the recorded sound of an amp to tape. call it what you want.
i have had original sans amp guitar pedal and in the manual it states something about trying to get an amp sound to tape by using a few milliamps or something. so in the end it is a type of modelling if the outcome is the sound of a miced amp to the recorder.
i would see if the cheaper version comes with the shock mount. otherwise it wont be such a great deal because it will be another 30$ to 50$ to get the mount. i dont think the mic clip is the same thing.
ordered an amp from musicians friend got a bass practice amp instead. got a masterlink open box and obviously used before when i paid for a new one. got cd-s smached and thrown in a box with no packing material. got a radial direct box that looked like it was a reject and box looked like an...
o.k. so now we know you own a sony whoopy doo. i bet the guys over at gearslutz would laugh at your gear.if youve never owned the stuff its so easy to beat up. some of it believe it or not does work. some of my sony gear has been tossed in the garbage too.
well mr. bear i owned one for 2 years at least i know what they sound like and can do.yes a cheapo reverb can sound good if used sparingly. its funny back in the late 80-s i went to several studios to work and guess what they had. proudly displayed midiverbs. those midiverbs found use on some...
i use to use borrowed plastic milk crates. they use too be exactly 19 inches. if anything it makes a good frame and then you could put wood around it for looks.
i think samson makes a cheaper copy of the stereo audio technica 822 . i seen it in a store the other day and it looks the same. the audio technica is a little over 200$ and takes a -aa battery. i love mine for field recordings. i think the samson was around 100$
the reverbs in it are o.k.and has much the same processor in it that all of the reverbs of that day something like digitech 256 and midiverb iii and such i believe. i hated programing mine. without the manual you never knew what effect knob did what to the lights.it wouldnt be a first choice for...
im not positive but i think AMS may be worse. check out zz sounds and also Same day music i think there all the same company. looks kinda funky. musicians friend just got me bad. i ordered a master link and some cd-s and got smashed open box crap when i ordered new stuff. they just threw the...
i asked for a price match and payment plan on an item at american musical. they said they could match the price but wouldnt do the payment option. there are several other sites with lower prices then ams most of the time. 8 th street music and bpm music tend to beat most of the others. im not...
