the 990 is pretty nice. it has a nice slightly warm sound . it brings out the "ssss" but that was using the stedman pop filter. im gonna try it on my nylon screen to see if it was the mic or maybe the singer.
i had a servo 120 and blew it up. the warranty was like a 3 year complete service so i got a new one and promply sold it. i would rather have a used onkyo home stereo receiver.its more flexible
add in the fact that it takes a longer distance for a bass wave to fully travel and open. i would put a mic on the grill and at least away like 3 feet.
had a vtb-1 and sold it. i still have the art tube mp . its a first year production and it has a sound to it. the vtb-1 i didnt like on bass near as much. the toob in it wasnt as warm to me as the art tube mp. you can snag tube mp-s for like 30- to 40 dollars all day long. i never got the vtb-1...
its a pain to get prices from sweetwater. then they make you wait for you specific sales guy. all i want is a price quote! about 2 years ago i called for a mic pre and played along stupid. after a half hour the guy steered me into a avalon 737. i told him i was new at recording and needed a mic...
i just wanna let you know that there are several other fine recording boards out there along with this one. the information i found and read is out there i just love doing my homework. those 2 units have lost there charm for myself and have been burned too many times by people like you who say...
the opinions have changed a bit on these items from what ive seen. a couple reviews on some other boards said the rnc isint all that and one said it works more like a good clean plug in . i guess it was trying to say it had no character. the rnp is a mid level pre that use to get high praises...
the capsule is of a shure 58 in a retro body. its kinda pricey for a 58. im gonna get this one http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=home/search/detail/base_pid/277520/
ANOTHER 822 OWNER. it was a mic developed back in the day when you needed a mic for the portable dats like the sony. i now use mine in my rehersal room to go direct to a sony cd burner for band rough copies. i think it works great on the cymbals.
i would never go for the seventh circle. i emailed them for prices and for 2 of the api type knock offs was the same price as a real api lunchbox modules. im not that stupid. if you do the soldering its cheaper but why not just get the real deal. if they lower the price they mite get some...
much talk on the other boards about the DAV mic pre all of the sudden but from only a couple people. looks like a bunch of used car salesmen pimping gear. maybe just a coincidence but looks fishy. it may be a great product but i love seeing products pop up loke this. months back it was all about...
bash bash bash. GUYS THAT ARE SO OPINIONATED BUT NEVER USED OR BOUGHT THOSE MONITORS. those behringers have been in my studio for 3 years and procuce great mixs. they translate well and i like to call them very similar to the mackies but you get to keep some dough in your wallet. what you dont...
for modern and NU METAL the bbe is nice. you are right about it adding something to the sound good or bad. it doesnt fix anything. thats what i like about it. if you are stuck in the past then just get a vibro champ and start pluckin and pickin. if youve moved on from boring generic 70-s rock...
ive owned all 3. the c-1 is one trick. the b-1 is kinda neutral but doesnt work on vocals all the time. the behringer b-2 sounds pretty darn gosh fine. for vocals and drun work its no comparison. the behringer is that good.
