Looking for a small dia condensor - cheap

I'd vote for anything but the CM-90. I was burned pretty bad with one, so now I developed a prejudice against adys :) Oren

    Duo problems (IRQ?)

Hi People, Good to be back home, and good to see that this place hasn't changed much... My latest purchase on my trip to the US, is a M-Audio Duo USB thing. I installed it today, and I'm getting a lot of pops, clicks and so on while playing back. After a short search, I found out that the USB...

    Jobs

Hmm.... I got out of the army 6 months ago, where I served as a Staff Sergeant. Since it was during my mandatory 3 years, the pay was rediculous, but since I had no expences, I could save up for some gear. Also last year, while still belonging to the army, I spent the summer as a camp councelor...

    2 track tart

Erland - Don't knock your camp "performances". Last year, when I was a first-year councelor, was the first time in my life I played (and actually sung, but I would deny it if anyone ever asks me about it :D ) in front of a huge crowd, and I really fell in love with it. All of these occassions...

    2 track tart

Erland - Yeah, the Broken Glass thing is over and done. We submitted it, but apperantly it we sent it too late, so it didn't enter the contest... Oh well, not my best work any way... I'm taking a break from recording for the summer (Pennsylvania here I come!), but I'll keep in touch when I get...

    2 track tart

This one's REALLY cool, and screaming for a full production. I'm going to listen to it over and over and over again. Oren

    piano plinking

Erland - Here's an outrageous offer, that might get me flamed for the rest of my life (glad we're not in the mic forum :D ). You had great results with your 606, and it is dirt cheap (a friend of mine just got one after I promised him that I know someone who has had amazing results with it)...

    Radio Shack?? Opinions welcome!!

Pretty nice! There are a few timing mistakes (or is it on purpous?), but for what you are using, it's really impressive. Oren

    Acoustic Guitar Stand

WATYF - Record the SM-58 into one channel, and the piezzo pickup to another, then, using your multi-track software, pan one track about 3 o'clock and the other one to about 9. This should give you a nice stereo sounding guitar. I had decent results with a Shure dynamic and a god-awfull pickup...

    "Miss Marcy" hillbilly/folk

Nice tune! I'm going to live 3 month in "Hicksville, PA", and it really got me in the right mood :-) The streaming was terrible though. I'll go D?L it later. This one's definitly a keeper. Oren

Preview: Boogie Tune Recorded On Tascam 424 MKIII

Axe4_ - Recording quality aside (mud mud mud), I really like th whole rhythm section. I treally sits together tight, and the guitar is killer. Obviously, I don't really connect to Christian music ;) but just musically speaking, I really like it. Oren

    Custom DIY Racks

Hi Frederic, Looks real nice. I still didn't get a chance to thank you for the speaker modifications you sent me. Though I don't think I'll be making these mods anytime soon (Sounds a bit complicated...), I really appreciate it! Thanks! Oren

    Radio Shack?? Opinions welcome!!

Fender - This is not the mic in question. The mic discussed on the Shure website wass actually made by Shure. It's now discontinued. I have it, and it's more then decent. Equivalent to most SM-58 knock-offs you can get from various Chinese companies. I use it mainly on guitar amps and for...

something i cant get a grasp on....answer if you can.

VotaIdiota - Most keyboards have a very weak output, and need a preamp of some sort to give them a little more balls. If yuo can do without, go for it. Unfortunatley, it is seldom the case. Oren

    Transport Interface?

Tim O'Brian, How did you set up you keyboard to act as a controler? I would really like to do that... Slack - Any hope of you finishing your little program? Could be really cool... All you really need is Play, Stop & Record. Oren

how to make digital sound like analog?

Glad I could help Chip. Your hum can come from many sources. Make sure all your gear is hooked up to the same electric socket, to prevent ground loops. Also, if you're playing electric guitar, try moving away from your compter monitor. Don't forget to check your cables regularly, because old...

    Opininion - Nady mics

Yep. Poor quality control. I have a Nady CM-90 which I use mainly to break glasses with.

how do I mix down into my pc's sound card?

While this seems like aretty good deal for the card itself, I can assure you that Cakewalk Express is a fairly uselss program (Believe me. I was stupid enough to buy it). You can only record 2 channels of audio, the effects are limited and (though it doesn't really matter to you but bugged the...
