Instrumental Melodic Guitar Rock Song "Muse"

Thanks for the listen Seafroggys... glad you like the geetar.... seems we're working on drums! Hey Rayc! Too late... I already youtubed Blow by Blow. My favorite guitar work by Jeff Beck is on a song by Rod Stewart and was popular here in the early 80s called "Infatuation." Nice funky pop...

    Here, have an MP3.

Cool song... nice clean tracks. With the right EQ treatment to get the guitars out of the way of the bass and visa-versa, things will be much better. Drums need some heavy compression and EQ..... You have everything you need for a pro sounding slammin track. Nice .... now all that needs to be...

    Exercise in Harmony

Nice! Great harmonies man. Awesome song! I love all the references to King David. Did you write those verses, or were they from the original? Peace! ~Shawn

    Blues Jr.

Chef, I played through a Blues Jr for 2 years. I was at GC about to pay for an upgrade, a Hotrod Dlx, when the salesman suggested I try the Crate V-Series amp before I did. Not only was it cheaper, it sounded like twice the amp as the Fender. You can get the 15 watt on blowout from MF for $149...

    cynical circuitry

Dude, that's a tripped out song! I like it! Only thing I would change is the EQ on the snare..... not quite sure, but maybe pull out a few db around 5khz and see what happens. SWEET!! ~Shawn

Thanks ranjam! "My drummer" in this case is a not close to finished midi drum track ;) Glad to see another v-series "believer." ;) I wish I had an extra $149, I would so love to get me the lower watt version. I actually built an isolation cab with the help of an engineer friend of mine, so I...

    Real Love - Feedback please

Good job on this one!!! I love the whole vibe, fo sho. That said, I'b be in for some more low-end from the bass and drums.... but that is purely subjective. Your vocal performance is great! More passion than ever, and that's always good! Peace! ~Shawn

Grab Yourself A Deal On A Tube Amplifier!

Thanks Mike. I was hoping you'd like the sound of it Distortion (modeled tube screamer), EQ, Crate V32 (pushed hard), SM57, DAW with delay, verb, and compression added there. The V32 is just like the V18, only with 2 more output tubes. Peace! ~Shawn

    Some upbeat poppy rock.

Nice track! I rather like the snare poping like that. I like the song too. The tracks were well recorded... the guitars sound pretty tight to me. If I could give advice, it would be in the area of compression and EQ. As home recordists, I think this is where we get it wrong. Some folks even...

Instrumental Melodic Guitar Rock Song "Muse"

Thanks Ido! That's my home-made Telecaster on this tune. That "something" going on in the background is synth strings. They're a little washed out from the mp3 conversion, but they really are low... thanks for the suggestion. I have never heard "Blow by Blow," so not sure what the keys sound...
