This has a bit 'o mid-mud in it still. I'd throw it on a meter to see where the inequities of frequencies are bunching and then throw a taming EQ at that region. I can't isolate WHICH instrument is pushing the freq clutter - but when you clear it, you'll hear it.

Believe it or not - throw Michael Stipe's vocal over the top and you have a decent REM piece going on. The wince factor is high on this one. Watch the top end of things.
