I would NEVER buy a guitar without playing it. Not in a million years. Until I learned how forgiving return policies had become. Ive since bought that SoCal above and a gold top LP (2017) without playing them.

The concept of this works. But the kick is too loud and bumpy/thumpy in my Mackie headphones. And I kept thinking that if a key phrase or concept (he's got a lot of them) was sampled/repeated - it might be more thematic that way. <--- just first impression thinking out loud.
