Brett, you'd go direct from the preamp to your soundcard, but you'd ideally want to match the operating levels of the preamp output and soundcard input....but yeah, straight to the soundcard

yes, the digital recorder (puter) solution would be even more flexible to upgrade down the road when you get more into it

why don't you get your self a condenser and a dynamic mic, a preamp and a four track. You could probably get all that for 200-300 bucks, and get some decent guitar and vocal sound with it, of course depending on what mics and preamp you get....maybe a shure sm58, a marshall condenser mic and a...

the "big black monster" would be utilized when using the mic outside, as innovation pointed, to stop the wind blowing into the mic a bit.... (not that you'll use that mic outside much anyway)

Not sure which version of Cubase you're using, but those settings should be very similar for most versions. When you click on "panels" in your tool bar, in the drop-down menu you should see "inputs". Click on inputs and window with all the stereo pairs of your 1010 inputs will appear. Click on...

what jake said... I find the kick too "clicky" ...and bass too "stringy" sometimes....maybe you cut too much lows....timing issues throughout... But I like the song...keep at it... Good work..
