Thanks Tim ... I was beginning to think there was a fault with my Fireface. But there ain't :)

I am having the exact same problem... i have the RME Fireface 800 All audio works fine ...but when i try to listen to midi tracks ..it plays but i can't hear anything. :confused:

Hey guys, i may be completely stupid, but for some reason i can't hear any midi playback in Sonar... I am using the RME Fireface 800..Can anyone suggest what i may be doing wrong... I have the fireface set up as my midi device for both input and output.. please help... :confused:

I have the wharfedale 8.2 pro actives... I have noticed a hell of a difference in my mixes since i started using them. They are great and i got mine new for £200 :)

Are the tracks still available from somewhere to download them? I really want to have a go at this myself :)

I agree, Drums are great .... the guitars are too far back, bring them more upfront, Multiband them maybe ....the mic used for the vocals maybe needs replaced ....

I may be moving off topic a bit here, however... I really love albums produced in the 60's and 70's....I love the dynamic range that is really REALLY noticable when you listen to songs from albums back then, compared to albums from the last 10 years. One Song that I really Really love...

Hey guys, i have recently mixed a few songs so that the master volume peaks around -0.7 Db.... I have now realized that i shouldn't be peaking that high on the master volume ... because i need to leave headroom for mastering... So i was wondering what would be the standard master volume level...

Drums, acoustic guitar and electric guitar were recorded in one room, the bass guitar was DI'ed, and the vocals were recorded in a different room... so basically i should send a bit of everything to one verb ... add more verb on the bass guitar as it was di'ed and just simply tweak the sends...

I have recently bought the RME Fireface ...I recorded at 44.1 - 16 Bit and it sounds pretty damn F**king amazing ... for some reason when recording using ASIO on Sonar i couldn't get the bit depth to 24 ...so as a result i had to set it to 44.1 - 16 .... I know i am obviously doing something...
