I watched the demo and I like the sounds it has, the guitar player I play with plays keys and we mess around with it, he has this Casio thing that sounds like ass, plus I want it for backline, I have a guitar and bass amp, this will pretty complete the gear I want to have available for use...
I am looking to get a keyboard for my studio, I am not a keyboard player and am completely ignorant to them. I am looking for a all in one unit, like a workstation. something that will do piano, synthesizer, strings, etc. my idea is to have something available that would serve most keyboard...

they have real heads so they have the feel of an acoustic kit, and you can use pads for near silent playing. I played a set of these years ago and they sounded great, we had them miked through the PA and...

OMG I am dying here. couldn't reply to OP so had to re-post. deep breath in, curse word out. :D
I would ditch the powered mixer idea and go with a small non powered mixer and 2 power amps, you only need a few inputs so a 4 channel mixer would work, and they are fairly cheap. on the power amps pay attention to the rating and lowest ohm load the amp will handle, for instance a 1000 watt...
yup, I started with a DP32 and then transferred everything to Reaper for mixdown, what a pain, and if you want to add a track you do it all over again, wasted a lot of time and money when I should have went the DAW interface from the start. and if you are going to end up in the DAW anyway, may as...
if you send a mix to one channel on the DP, say kick snare and hat, you get what you get. once you "sub mix" several channels then send to one channel on the DP you cannot change it afterwards. if you can get a board that has 8 sub group outs it would be easier, at least you could still maintain...
I have a 824 and just added a ADA8200, fairly cheap for 8 inputs, setup was a breeze. I did some test recording using a MP3 signal using 1 channel on the 824 and 1 channel on the 8200, I cant tell any difference.:D
Very good job guys, as has been said ditto on the snare, the vocals are very well blended, everything sounds great! it's got that America feel to me. tight performance.:thumbs up:
if you have a mixer with sub groups you can sub mix on the mixer and send the output to the DP, or you could use a mixer just to mix the drums and send the output to the DP, only thing is once you send a mix to the DP its there, you cannot change it. the levels for the live mix may not be what...
I have the ADAT in/out from the 824 connected to the 8200 out/in with light cables, I set the 8200 switch to slave, not sure about the post preamp question. all I have done so far is record a MP3 signal, I used one channel from the 824 and one channel from the 8200, I could not tell a...
