I agree. The antique sound at the beginning is a bit thin, making the change abrupt and startling. Otherwise, the performance is great. I really like your voice! Kinda sounds like Elvis Costello at times. (hope that's a compliment for you!)

Good point. He seems very content to be part of a band. His sounds aren't buried by the others, but rather complements them well. It's also interesting to look at their history and remember that they were awful "musicians" when they started. Their first priority was to be in a rock band...

This book suggests the same, to get the optimal level, but warns against over-compressing. It's a cool book for the beginner, by the way! ;)

Soft Landing -- I like the general vibe here -- melodic, shifting, and so on. The vocals are really buried, and that's too bad, cuz you seem to have a nice voice. Can't make out any lyrics, though. I really like the building toward the end. Nice job! All the Old Games has a cool guitar...
