    Mesa Boogie FX loop

You should be just fine. I think that the problem may be that the signal level on the loop may be too hot for the stomp boxes, not the other way round. Let us know how you do.

Rockin' in Europe/ World travellers, HELP!

I took a US Boogie (110v) to England, bought a transformer and played gigs with it for a couple of years - no problem. Used the fx loop on the Boogie and ran my US fx (110v) from the power out on the back of the Boogie - no problem. Nothing burned out, nothing burned down (except one pub where...

    Guitars are like women...

Hang 'em up by the neck and they get a bit twisted. If it was made in 1959, you probably can't afford it.

How long have you been playing, and how good a player are you? It may be that your next upgrade is yourself. After the Behringer, that is. :D

I usually play with my guitar volume knob all the way up, and control the volume with

I always use the volume knob wide open (except in one not very often used case). The reason is that you cut the amount of signal the amp (or wah or whatever you have before the input) has to work with - this significantly changes your tone, and the amount of distortion, compression, delay...

Easiest Way to get good Guitar Harmonies

For clean sounds, you can actually do it yourself. If you think about it as two (or more) notes, you're going to psych yourself out (although if you practise enough, you can still do it that way) but if you think about your harmonized notes as peices of chords, it becomes easier to get you rhead...

stevie ray vaughn or jimi hendrix

Who was the better explorer, me or Sir Francis Drake? I mean, I've been everywhere Sir Frank's been, and got there faster and in better shape. Ludicrous - SRV followed the well-worn path that wasn't even there until Hendrix walked down it. Did Stevie have great feel and killer tone - sure...

    my first jam session!

Think of it the other way round, too. Let's say you are the great player and a lesser player sits in with you. Are you going to say "You don't play as good as me, so hit the road"? Of course not!..Every great player was only good at one time. Every good player was only so so at one time...

    Vintage Gibsons vs. New Gibsons

I have several vintage Gibson guitars - the latest from 1963. Every one is an excellent instrument, plays and sounds great. I have also played several great new Gibsons. The moral of this story is that a guitar is a guitar. It doesn't know if it was made in 1959 or 1989. 1963? 1993...

    How Do You Rate Guitarists

If you take away the effects, there's not a whole hell of a lot left! Oh, pentatonic meanderings you like. Okay. There is no 'best'. There is only "what I like". For example, who is the better player between: Django Reinhardt and Ry Cooder. Wes Montgomery and Steve Vai Chris Parkening...
