thanks for the replies guys...shocking candy, i'm mostly looking for bluesy/rock tone. i don't need a thousand effects, just a few quality ones like delay, chorus, and reverb. the tonelab is looking more and more like the best option for me
I'm looking to get either modeling software/a multi effects pedal for recording. It doesn't matter to me if i have to mic my amp or not, i just want a quality sound. $400 dollars would be my limit for this. Any advice?
thanks for the link...the one thing i really want to know is if i can take a mixer and run that into my interface with the left and right line outputs to get a stereo track into my computer?
Right now i'm working with a two input interface going to my computer. In terms of price vs utility what would be my option to get more inputs recording at once? Is it possible to buy a miixer and run that into my interface to the computer?
thats kinda what i was figuring on...what about the DMP3 because that seems to be talked about as one of the best bang-for-your-buck pre's out there and it still could be in my range for the short term
i'm on a very limited budget being 19 and at school for most of the time. i have a MBox2 mini and am going to be recording my amp through a mic. my question is should i get the ART Tube MP Studio because its dirt cheap now or should i not bother and get a pre amp later on down the road?
I am going to be getting an external hard drive as i have started to do some recording at home. I have read and been told that firewire is better but i'll most likely only be recording 1 track at a time for a while. So how much of a difference would the firewire make for me?
