If I have two or more guitar tracks and I want to compress the tracks together, in other words have the total volume of all the tracks compressed, how would I do that? Hope I phrased that right. Thanks for your help.
Wow, metalj I just watched that demo video and I am very impressed with it. I was leaning towards the Traynor ycv40 but now this will be in serious consideration too. If anyone owns either of these amps I'd definetly like to hear from you. Thanks again.
Thanks for the responses guys. I'm definetly going to look at the Traynor, seems like its a solid option. I'm not really looking for a particular artist's sound but just a thick blues-rock sound.
To be honest I never really thought about the deville. Unless there is a large difference in the overdrive channels then it would just be too powerful for what I need it for. I'll check out the deville and peavy though. Thanks guys
Hi, I'm looking to get a tube amp for around $600. I'll probably buy used so I can get a higher end one. Two amps that I'm looking at are the Hotrod Deluxe and the Marshall DSL401. The main thing I want is a nice overdrive channel. Any other amps that I might have overlooked?
I'm in college now and am going to be moving into a house this summer which will double as my recording studio. It's a standard 4 wall room and my question is about the acoustics. What should i put on the walls (non permanent) to help the recording sound? Would foam on the corners be a good start?
Yeah, it is a tube amp. I haven't retubed it yet and its probably time to do that. I'm looking at replacement tubes and it'll probably be around $100 to replace all, not too happy about that haha. But we'll see what happens after that.
Lately whenever I have my amp on for about 5-10 minutes all of a sudden a very loud, very high pitched squealing sound comes out of it. I'm at school right now with now way to really take it to a shop, but I plan to as soon as I get home. My question is does anyone have any idea of what it could...
My budget for mics would be probably around $400. I would be recording drums for rock music. It wouldn't be in a room thats treated really at all. I'm looking at probably a 2 OH, kick, and snare combo. I've been looking at naiants for OH's, but they're omni which i've read don't work very well...
I'm looking for ideas on a kick drum mic for hopefully under $100. I'm really open to all ideas though if most people think nothing can come close to a 52 or something of that caliber.
Thanks for all the advice guys. I know I'm definetly going to get a set. Whether it's acoustic or electric is still up in the air. The real thing I'm worried about is getting a digital sound from an electronic set. But if I were to get an electronic it would take care of a lot of things I would...
I'm using a Palamino V32 amp and when I play the amp for a while and have the reverb on I get a crackling noise. Its not a hum, but more of a crackle. If I turn it off then on again it stops for a while. Any ideas of what it is? I know basically no mechanics of what goes on inside the amp.
Thanks for the replies guys. After doing some looking around and hearing some thoughts, an electronic drum kit might be the better thing for me. Any thoughts on those?
Thanks guys, I'm pretty confident in my ability with rhythm so I should be able to do something with drums. The only thing I'm kind of worried about is the sound I would get out of an electronic drum kit, if it would be "digital sounding" like most effect processors for guitars. An E-set would...
Thanks for the quick replies guys. I know that I won't be completly happy with myself playing the drums. I just want to have more control on how i want the drums to comp the song, thats really what I'm aiming for. Cnix, what kind of electronic set did you get?
I'm looking for a beginning set to learn on and play with at my house. Pulse seems to have pretty good deals for this kind of thing. Anyone have any experience with them?
