    Center of the core,feedback please!

Its amazing what 2 years living in a recording studio, watching a learning can do. Now I'm trying to emulate a studio with the equipment I have. It's not sounding too bad....need a good vocal mic though....a cheap good condenser mic would do it I reckon, anyway, if you wouldn't mind returning...

I feel that its too high in volume, I like harmonies to be there but not in your face, they should sound more natural, quiet down the backing ones there I think.

No the drums are fine they sit quite nicely with the rest, I very much like the singer, but I feel the 2nd harmonies (chorus I think) are too loud, the flute thing is crazy, but it works. Good job I think. Weird song. Weird song. But I like it :)

Hey I like you (Particularly cause I'm the vocalist AND lead guitarist :) I'll change the velocity of the drum roll, but Im thinking of adding more treble to the rhythm guitar to bring it forward) The boomy-ness on the vocals is from the sm57 in a big room with no padding. (IE my lounge), I'll...

    Experts answer this.

Yeah but most Amps have LINE OUTS, which feed the distorted sounds straight to the desk etc....

    Experts answer this.

Always baked my noodle this one. Why in a studio do people prefer to mic up amps rather than DI, or line out them? I do it myself without thinking, but why??? Cheers, Rich

http://www.buttonmoon.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/rich/boy.mp3 Once more, until the 25th the drummer is on holiday so ignore the horribly sampled drums (unless they;'re too high/low in the mix etc) Just looking for some feedback. Cheers, Rich EDIT: Here's a version with sampled drums rather than...

    Urgent Help needed.

I record vocals with a click because vocalists have this tendancy to ad lib at times, and if they prolong a note, and the harmony note isn't prolonged it sounds crap. I'll try gating it. No-one's answered this, can I get a real time, SOFTWARE, limiter? Cheers, Rich
