    yeah you can you just use the effect before going to card or loop the output to another input then record, but it will be recorded with effects, there is no insert/Aux return functionality atleast in firebox.

    check if you selected the input for the track in cubase LE, for example if you using mic1 then slect mic1 in cubase.

    OK here what I will go with, since you will be recording just one or two inputs at a time Presonus firebox (decent two preamps could be used on guitar/vocals and you can upgrade preamps later when get more money, atleast they are better than euromax pres) Rode NT1-A condenser mic (check Ebay)...

    I had firebox and just traded in with a EMU 1820m couple of days ago, firebox was very good but EMU is just another beast, huge difference when comapring imaging, clarity and specially high freqs are very well defined and better preamps as well, if you are just need two preamps I would suggest...

    Thanx a lot StudiMxpx, I think you are talking about distorted guitar tone, that can be easily fix by using a different preset or with just some EQ. I dont have a guitar CAB thats why using GT6, how about sound stage and imaging and everything sit in the mix in your opinion?
