My recommendation is to buy a shure SM58 mic plus a M-Audio fast track pro or the M-Audio fast track if you just need to record your voice. Both comes with Ableton Live Lite which is a good entry level DAW software to record and edit your songs.

The tempo of a song can be adjusted at the top left corner besides TAP. There you change the tempo without altering the pitch.
