thanks for the advice everyone. I fixed the problem ,I updated the drivers for the USB zip drive. With some help from a live tech chat room at IOMEGA i checked everything and ended up just updating .. Man alive this one took ages to figure out and the fix was so simple...

yeah, never had a zip drive until 2 weeks ago.unfortunately i have the latest drivers,however iomega set try there latest drivers.

i found the problem. It's my exturnel usb zip drive. If i'ts on my system the cd-drive will play-up. I've swapped slots around but no difference. It the USB zip drive is anywhere on the system it will conflict. Any ideas?:(

well i found out i get the blue screen when i press eject. i have three partitions and it does it on all of them. windows media player.the isis media player that came with the sound card.. winamp seems to run better than the others, however it still is crackly(not as much on winamp Though)...

I know it's done in bios but how do i know which ones best for what ever. I have noticed that my graphics and sound card share irq 5 along with a couple of other things. I spose if i screw up i can restore bios defaults.:(
