never mind guys....ive got if figured out. after messing with the limiter in Ozone, i tweaked the settings a bit and got it so i can have it nice and loud....and still have the snare poppin and crackin! character settings on the limter (faster release time), and tweaked some of the compressors...

ok, so the presonus firestudio, and the Motu 8pre are serious contenders.... which one to choose will be hard. they both seem to be about the same.

but i noticed the RME 800 nly has 4 XLR inputs, while the presonus has 8. I need ed a minimum of 8 XLR inputs for mike'ing a drum kit. looking at the price of the RME,......wayyyyyy out of my price range. LOL
