DIY Vibrato (pitch not tremelo effect)

Thanks for that Blue, although it's not what I'm looking for - it's a change of pitch type effect I'm looking for - I might build that one in the future. Apparently the Motion Filter sounds a bit nuts, I'm all for different sounds etc so cheers!

DIY Vibrato (pitch not tremelo effect)

Hey, I've been wanting to do this for a long time. I'm wanting to build a vibrato effect for use with my guitar but I cannot find any circuit diagrams online. All I can find is the Hendrix univibe which is not at all what I'm looking for. I don't want a phaser type effect or a tremelo effect...

audio technica transmitter mic socket replacement??

Hey kip, I'm afraid not. The organization i work with is a charity, so I would much rather repair it for the least amount of cash possible. This transmitter is in a bit of a mess as well, It's been repaired many times due to it being dropped etc. So they might end up charging us more to repair...

audio technica transmitter mic socket replacement??

Hello, I have an Audio Technica ATW-T310 UHF transmitter. The socket for this is completely beyond use, it's the four pin push locking type. If i remember correctly it's a rose type connector or something. I've been looking to replace this for some time now, I just don't know where to source...

anxiety - the death of a musician?

Thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated, I'm thinking about even going busking somewhere i wont be recognised. there will be less pressure as people are not paying to see me - i'll just be there in the background. the reason i guess i feel anxiety and panicky about all of this is i dont...

triplets are doing my head in :(

the problem is i'm not really a drummer, i just play drums to write the parts. taking the advice before, i played midi drums back, slowed it right down and tried to remember the leading hand on the second hit of the triplet on the snare swaps over to the hi hat half way into it's time. it still...

anxiety - the death of a musician?

i didn't know where else i could post this, but what the hell when i was younger i did play live a few times, each time i was scared though, but i'm of the opinion it perhaps would have gotten easier the more i did it. the band members i had were not the type to work hard though so i liquidated...

triplets are doing my head in :(

hi everyone, i'm not a great drummer - like to throw that in at the start lol anyway, i wrote a song that is 4/4, but the snare plays a triplet on the second beat (it carries on for that full beat, so i'm guessing it's a quarter note triplet) i find it very easy playing quarter note high hats...

Fostex R8 Reel to Reel - Possible to make a DIY remote control extension cable?

Yeah it's very annoying. What i might* do, is cut the thin wires at the control pad just before they enter the insulation i could then install small discreet inline crimps so that the whole cable modification can be reversed easily - just by attaching taking out the crimped exctending cable...

Fostex R8 Reel to Reel - Possible to make a DIY remote control extension cable?

Thanks DR ZEE, I thought about cutting the cable, but to be honest I'd rather take a more passive approach. Although the recorder is not mint I still like to preserve it as it's my little link to the past. The connector is a 12pin DIN, the only problem I see is perhaps the locking collar. I...

Fostex R8 Reel to Reel - Possible to make a DIY remote control extension cable?

Just a little update, I took the machine apart and found the capstan motor, drive belt and pulleys. The pulley wasn't cracked - it was firmly on the motor drive shaft. There was a lot of rubber particles around the capstan pulleys and some actually on the machine. I'm not sure if the drive belt...

Fostex R8 Reel to Reel - Possible to make a DIY remote control extension cable?

Hi every one, I was just wondering if I could make a Fostex R8 remote control extension cable. I think every one knows how hard to come by these things are now and don't want to pay over the odds for it! A question on the side: The R8 is getting sluggish - especially if it's not in use...
