    Compression Pedals

I love my modded CS-3 more than ever these days with my TS808 on top of my Sunn Concert Lead with the distortion on, sounds great for them leads. Though, it doesn't sound sound to good going through my Fender Super Reverb though...

    Octave Pedal Suggestions

I'm looking for a good octave pedal to put into my pedal board. I don't know jack-shit about them but I love how they sound and I know it would be fun to use one. I don't really want anything like an MXR Blue-Box or an Octavio because of the fuzz that they have and I have a good distortion pedal...

Do you use a compressor pedal?

Well said. You're smart, I like you. I use a compressor, an opto modded Boss CS-3, but you all know know that already *points at thread*

    speaker cab question

Yes just a push from it being turned up, no actual distortion, distortion on bass is ew.

    speaker cab question

Which is an amazing sound. Though most of you wont agree with me, overdriven fuzzy and warm bass tones are the best. And aside from a lot of old 70's solid states like Peavey and Sunn, Fender Bassmans from the 60's are amazing for that sound. I used to use a Bassman Ten before I got my Peavey...

Can Figure Out What Pedal This Is

I'm thinking that but I can't seem to find anything from E-H that matches it. Coz It's definitely not a Muff.

Can Figure Out What Pedal This Is

Yeah I don't really have anything, I'm not expecting results, I'm hoping that someone who has one will recognize it.

Can Figure Out What Pedal This Is

That's really all I have sad to say. I saw it recently online on some webstore for Guitar Center or something but I can't find it now. EDIT: It has a single control knob knob on the bottom right corner I can tell from the pic, it's really fuzzy to me.

Can Figure Out What Pedal This Is

I've used this pedal before, but I forgot what what it's called, it's on the ground in the picture (in front of the amp, bottom left corner) if you could tell me that'd be great, I'm almost 100% sure it's a distortion or overdrive. Just don't remember it was a few years back that I used it.

    Gibson SG Standards

Yeah, I feel stupid for asking this, but Gibson was selling SG Standards in 3 finishes a few years ago, Ebony, Herritage Cherry and some brown burst color, what was the name of that brown burst color?

Pedal Nerds, wanna show off your DIY pedalboards?

This thread makes we wanna build up a pedal board again. I sold off all my pedals not too long ago except for a few since I wasn't using them...

    Compression Pedals

Fudge. That mod is great. The only thing I can say bad about it is that it makes the tone a bit brighter that it was (maybe a bit too much actually). But otherwise it turned the pedal into a great boost.

    Compression Pedals

I installed the mod today into the pedal, it's exactly what I wanted.

    Compression Pedals

OK. I'll clearify, "OK" is a man on his side. Anyways, my amp's distortion is a bit weak, but has a good tone, and with the compressor plugged in and set up how I like it, it works as boost with the amps distortion, sounds pretty good, but still a bit weak. So long story short, I'm using a...

    Compression Pedals

Haha, yeah I've noticed that most of what has been said is a bit ridiculous. I know for a fact that a distortion pedal on top of an amp that has its distortion on sounds horrible, it's just noisy and the tone gets messed up. As I've discovered, the CS-3 when used as boost with the distortion on...

    Compression Pedals

Several people on this thread and I have experience using distortion pedals on solid state amps, not too good. Plus I don't need a distortion pedal, just a boost as I use the amps built in distortion, just need to boost it. @ soundchaser59: Ordered the kit a couple hours ago expecting it this...
