    Terrible Noise From Amp

Cute... @ miroslav/ggun: The pickup is more along the lines of a P-90 than an actual single coil. @ miroslav: Get this, when I have the amp on, with it's gain and boost engaged plugged into my pedal, with the pedal on and a cable running from the pedal but not to my guitar, it's almost...

    Terrible Noise From Amp

Unlcean power? I did the lights check already. Changes nothing. Gonna try the speaker/cable thing right now. Yes I know though, but the noise is already there with or without the Tube Screamer.

    Terrible Noise From Amp

@ ggun: There is noise only from the cable going to the pedal is unplugged from the pedal. Yes. Not very much. When I put the humbucker in my Dan the buzzing stops but in exchange for no buzzing I get screeching feedback. Yes, it makes my playing sound muddy. @ mirslav: With or without a...

    Terrible Noise From Amp

So I've got this incessant buzzing noise coming from my amp. Guitar (Ampeg ADA6 with single blade pick-up in) > Ibanez TS9-DX > Marshall Mosfet Lead 100 > Soldano 4x12 w/ Vintage 30's. I'm guessing it's just mixing the pedal with the amps own gain channel. But that means the only cure is...

    Subtle Strap-Locks?

So I ordered a 4 pack of those strap clips from eBay for my Strat and Mustang bass which I use rarely, waiting on those. And I bought a DiMarizo clip-lock strap for my Dan Armstrong and so far I like it. However the material is a bit soft and it kinda just slides down my shoulder as the guitar...

    Subtle Strap-Locks?

What are they made out of? If they just pop onto your strap button over your strap, (that's what I've deducted from reading the eBay page). You got a picture of your guitar with it's strap and a set of those on it?

    Subtle Strap-Locks?

Maybe I should ;) In all seriousness, it just seems awkward to me, I feel like they would get in the way. But I think I'm just gonna give those DiMarizo clip straps that you just screw on in place of tuning pegs a shot, unless anyone can tell me otherwise.

    Subtle Strap-Locks?

Any suggestions for a subtle set strap-locks to put on my guitar? They all seem a bit too bulky for me or put the strap too far off the body, it looks ugly to me. So any strap-locks that are subtle and keep the strap close to the body, not sticking an inch off the body of my guitar?

    "boominess" when recording amp?

Honestly, that sample sounds pretty good. I'd need more to be able to tell you anything other than that. But as has been said, if you're recording with a band, once the other instruments are added usually what you don't like disappears into the mix because it's very subtle.

    Ernie Ball Super Slinkies?

    What's someone's opinion on Dean Markley 9-42s?

    Fender Musicmaster Bass

Try a set of short-scale strings, that just might solve your problem.

    Ernie Ball Super Slinkies?

I'm sick of Super Bullets/250s and Ernie Balls, looking into Boomers and Dean Markleys. I'm interested. Next time I go to Guitar Center (local shop only carries Ernies...) I think I'll pick up a pack or two of Markleys.

    Need some mild bass distortion

Peavey Mark III heads run about $150-$250 if you can find one. But you're not looking for another amp, you're just looking for what you can do to get some overdrive. I dont really know how to help you there, the amps I use get some nice overdrive.

    Need some mild bass distortion

TURN. UP. THE. GAIN. MAX. THE. TONE. CONTROLS. (On the amp) Basically. Find a tone you like with the tone controls on your amp all turned up past 2 or 3 o'clock. Then add gain. Use the volume like a master. I personally don't think the new Acoustic amps are good for what you're going for. A...

Help me find my ultimate guitar

I see. As I suggested earlier, check out an Ampeg Dan Armstrong (AMG100 specifically, way cheaper than the ADA6 only because AMGs are wood bodied and ADAs are plexiglass). They have interchangeable pickups, they just pop in and out after undoing a thumb screw. They have humbuckers and single...

Help me find my ultimate guitar

Check out a Dan Armstrong, might have what you're looking for, though they only have a single pickup in the bridge position it can be switched out between a single coil and humbucker (that are included with the guitar). And it has a tone switch (I'm not quite sure how to explain it, look it up...
