I don't know why I didn't get the echo firewire interface. I have an Echo Layla 24/96 at one studio and I love it. What I ended up buying for the other studio was the firestudio PROJECT. Not the plain ole firestudio. But don't let the names fool you, the firestudio project is a step down...

You are probably using the asio drivers. In the second tab, find where you can switch to wdm mode. You'll have to close down the program I think. Then when it opens up, it will run the wave profiler. I am NOwhere near moskus et al on Sonar, but I know this will show the wave profiler, unless...

I didn't install any program, I just went and installed the newest drivers and used them. Should I be installing a 'program' or is that just the mixer software part of the device? Sorry to hijack. But it may help you too.

Also, make sure to disable your onboard soundcard. That seemed to make a difference for me.
