    Balance On Live Recording

Hello, all! I have a decent sounding stereo recording from a mixing board on which the vocals and sax are MUCH louder than the other instruments. Is there a technique that I can use which can bring up the other instruments and lower the vocals/sax? I have Sonar with multi-band and single...

Hehe...You're never going to satisfy everyone!! I love the distortion and the vinyl sound. I say stop playing with it and enjoy it! :)

Supper's Ready (the dream is over)

Got this one in the playlist rotation. I love the abrupt change of the vocal effects after the intro. I guess I'm not one for subtlety. Erik

    Christmas Music thread!

Nice! I like the jam atmosphere on this one. I can imagine a bunch of guys sitting around a fire doing this. The multi-tracked vocals work nicely. I like the harmonies in the vocals too! I'm all about harmonizing everything...probably to a fault :)

Whoa! Trippy. Man, I like the chord changes in the piano behind the strange lead voice. Nice soft pad too. It's a nice touch!

    Christmas Music thread!

Cool idea :) It sounds like there was a good amount of time put into the recording. It's hard to mix all those different voices successfully!! People put lots of time in on just ONE voice! :)

Mike - This stuff is awesome. I always love listening to your music. I'm never disappointed. Great guitar work, and the recordings are very true sounding.

Bruce, I like that one a lot. Even though it's simple midi, it's still mixed very well, IMHO. Each part has its own little space and they blend nicely. Rock!

Thanks, bro! I decided to work a little on my vocoder. The carrier is just the pad changing the chords. The modulator is a drum computer set on a simple loop. That's what you hear in the intro and the ending. Fun stuff!! Thanks for the listen.

Why thank you, TE! I had to break out the old soprano for this one. I lleft my alto at work! :) I hate using sop. on anything other than classical -- too many people write it off as Kenny G automatically.

    God Dance Ye Merry Gentlemen

ohohoh...yeah, I mixed it down tonight. I tried some different (for me) mixing techniques than I've used in the past. I think it worked out alright. I'm not 100% happy with the way the sop. sax lead sits in the mix, but other than that, I think it's pretty darned good. Nice to see you over...

    God Dance Ye Merry Gentlemen

Is this the doloR44 from TF? :) The tune's centuries old. It's the Christmas carol, "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen." -E

    God Dance Ye Merry Gentlemen

This is a silly little rock setting of the classic carol with soprano sax on lead. Any thoughts on the recording itself? Anyone? :) Thanks in advance! http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=214343
