I have Mesa/Boogie Mark IV Amp with fixed bias. It is 9 years old and always has unoriginal tubes in it.
Now I play on JJ tubes and all works perfectly. I don't believe that good other brand tube can damage your amp.
In instruction manual is written that I can put also EL34 or Fender 6V6 tubes...
I am playing and recording a guitar for caa. 5 years now and nothing sounds better than good amp with tubes. All this digital effects sounds like synthetic disease.
I have Mesa/boogie Mark IV and this is it. A huge palete of sounds. You can make it to sound like Marshall just with putting EL34...

Hi!
Yesterday I've recorded guitars for some kind metal-progressive band.
We've recorded 10 layers with Mesa/Boogie Mark IV.
I adjust different sound per every two layers.
When I listen all tracks together it sounds pretty good but I still missing this "punch". Seems to me there is something...
Why do you arguing all the time?!
I have the same problem that CalariasDead has.
But my both overheads are clliped. I don't know what to do except of recording just cymbals once again.
Help us and don't dissgusing about duckin cause it didn't made any good!
