You musta fixed it. I don't hear anything wrong with your tone. And I agree with the Heap reference. Nice tune, as usual.

The MR-8 makes a copy of each track you record. When you erase that track, you have to go in and find the copy. The copy is for undo/redo function.

Listen to a bunch of songs by artists who are in the same genre as the bands to are writing for. Listen to favorites of the band members. Or try writing on a different instrument than you normally do.

One more thing, if you are going to render to mp3, you'll need to update the lame dll to the 64 bit version too. It's pretty easy to do, if you chose mp3 on the render tab, it'll give you a pop up with a link to the new dll.

I upgraded yesterday to version 3.4 /x64. Man, is it ever running smooth. It may be just me, but I noticed a real bump in the clarity of my mixes. Of course, since I am away from my monitors, I am on Sennheiser headphones too, which may account for that. But I am really happy with it so far.

I think less DI would go a long way too. There is a lot of work to do here.

Oh, and just a personal taste thing, but the last time you sing "NO REDEMPTION", when you take it into the stratosphere, it would really sound cool with a lower harmony vocal under it... :cool:

I shouldn't have read Greg's comments before I listened... but he's right of course. The kick is a bit much... I really like how the bass sits in the mix. Fills out the bottom end really nice. The vocals are great, of course. I am listening as I type, so I am waiting to have my head shaved...

Where I am at, it's the only thing available. I travel the world, and right now, I am in Guam. Musical instruments are plentiful. Recording gear is not.

Nevermind. From everything I've read and seen, it's not going to be worth the money to get it. I'll just have to keep looking and hope something turns up.
