I've seen previous posts and know it's possible, but how can the mixer on the 388 be used as a mixer for the T-38? If anyone has a clear explanation that would be amazing.
Thanks!
As I've been debating what format to record my next album on and have been listening to various formats I maybe could acquire, I'm realizing that I'll likely be using my 388. The difference between it and, say, a 1/2" or 1" machine at 15 ips is only marginally better for what I want to do and...
Some of you are familiar with the machine I bought last month. Seemed to work ok. Set it up as a mixdown deck and everything is coming through loud and clear, but when I record and then playback the level is almost inaudible.
I'm guessing that I either have something set incorrectly or the...
Can someone give me the lowdown on the difference between the two? For some reason I'm not wrapping my head around it.
I understand both are controlled by the master fader and level knobs above this fader, but they can be controlled by the channel knobs as well, correct?
I want to run a...
If I want to use an outboard compressor and reverb how to I route it so that the amount of the effect is determined by the eff. knob on each individual channel? I want to use the effect on only particular channels during mixdown.
So I'll be mixing down from the 388 to a Teac 25-2. The Teac only has rca, so I'll obviously be using the rca outs on the 388. But this is something I've never known - is there a quality of sound difference between the two cables?
Title says it all. I'm going from a 388 to the laptop via the line ins on the UX2. I've tried a few samples and it sounds good. Levels are good and the mixdown seems clear enough.
Has anyone used the UX2 for similar purposes and have any results (recorded or otherwise) to compare mine to? Any...
As the title says, can the eq on the 388 be used only during recording, or can it be manipulated during mixdown as well?
If it can be used during mixdown, what combination of buttons and levers and which outs are to be used?
I want to do a one mic recording of drums for a 2 piece using an sm57.
Anyone have any advice or knowledge as to how a one mic situation might sound on the 388?
