  • Hi dnkygirl,

I haven't posted in a bit...actually - like you, I read more than I post. You are right, it is hard to be objective after you have listened to a song many times. I try to work on the same song between an hour - two hours max then let it go for a while and come back. Theory definately helps...I know a little and it has helped me quite a bit. Where are you originaly from and how did you get started with music? Do you stay within a specific genre? Would love to hear some of your stuff sometime if you felt comfortable with it.
    Hello,

Thanks.. just trying to help others... I have received alot of help from the guys on here as well... after you have listened to a song 100 times.. it's sometimes hard to be objective. I'm learning to create more dynamics into my songs. I'm not really ready to show off my new stuff yet. I've been working in different styles and working out my rhythm issues... sometimes even quantization doesn't help me... :o) I've also gotten back into learning the piano which helps. Theory always enhances your skill. So have you posted lately? I've actually been off the boards for awhile... I've been busy not doing music. I like this site because you can talk to people from all over the place... and with all sorts of skill.
