The entire euthanasia vs. natural expiration has been a personal issue for me that has again come up in my own personal life.

Yeah, I have to agree-just because a medical prodedure can be done doesn't mean it must be done these days.
He's 19 months now. Kinda funny having such a young son at my age. But then again, I hope I am not too old to play ball with him later on. And teach him how to trap, uh, I mean attract girls... :D
    Hey!

How did I get in the cellar? Where's the lightswitch?

Eeewwww, I don't think that was it!

Perhaps all of the feeding tubes should come out of persons beyond reasonable hope of recovery and sent to Africa!

Major left turn from the subject at hand...sorry!
I think it is the context in which the question is posed. It is slanted from the start - shall we feed kids so they can suffer longer. It sort of implies that euthanasia for the starving is a valid option and we would be doing them a favour. I just don't subscribe to that point of view. I sponsor a child in Africa and I am not rich. This covers their education mainly. If everyone on the board did it, then slowly Africa would educate itself out of its current strife. And if it doesn't, well then I made a difference to one kid's life. It is so easy to pose a question such as Wheelma did, whilst having a stocked fridge. You, me and Weheelma are very lucky to have been born where we were. I also think that we have no fundamental rights over and above those starving. We were just born in different circumstances. So for a person to decide (albeit hypothetically on a music bbs) that we should let people starve to death, to me, is sooooo wrong.

But that is me! Cheers! Wilko
