Russia will it happen?

February 14th
I worked with an actress from Ukraine, whose visa ran out, and she's back in Ukraine. She just got married. She's posting wedding photos. I told her I've heard bad things, and if she and her husband needed help getting back to the US, they could use my name, and I'd verify that they'd be working together. She thanked me, and basically said the media has blown this all out of proportion.

I live in the real world. When you put yourself in danger, you hold part of the responsibility.

Please, send your children out prepared to do anything they want. Because you live only around good honest sane gentle human beings. You're an idiot.
I don't have children. Who's the idiot now? :laughings:

Seriously, dude. You're blaming a woman for getting raped at a bar because she wasn't prepared to get raped while socializing with other humans in a similar manner. And that seems normal to you. I'm sorry you were raised to become who you are. It must be tough to carry all of that anger and confusion. But I'm sure you're doing the best you can with the tools that were given. It just sucks because you can't even see how fucked up you are.

On the subject of the propaganda of "De-Nazifying" Ukraine from the good folks at factcheck.org....

A statement signed by more than 300 historians who study genocide, Nazism and World War II said Putin’s rhetoric about de-Nazifying fascists among Ukraine’s elected leadership is propaganda.

“We strongly reject the Russian government’s cynical abuse of the term genocide, the memory of World War II and the Holocaust, and the equation of the Ukrainian state with the Nazi regime to justify its unprovoked aggression,” the statement says. “This rhetoric is factually wrong, morally repugnant and deeply offensive to the memory of millions of victims of Nazism and those who courageously fought against it, including Russian and Ukrainian soldiers of the Red Army."

"We do not idealize the Ukrainian state and society. Like any other country, it has right-wing extremists and violent xenophobic groups. Ukraine also ought to better confront the darker chapters of its painful and complicated history. Yet none of this justifies the Russian aggression and the gross mischaracterization of Ukraine.”

One of the authors of the statement, Eugene Finkel, an associate professor at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University, told us the influence of Ukraine’s neo-Nazi faction is relatively small.

“Neo-Nazi, far right and xenophobic groups do exist in Ukraine, like in pretty much any other country, including Russia,” Finkel said. “They are vocal and can be prone to violence but they are numerically small, marginal and their political influence at the state level is non-existent. That is not to say that Ukraine doesn’t have a far-right problem. It does. But I would consider the KKK in the US and skinheads and neo-Nazi groups in Russia a much bigger problem and threat than the Ukrainian far right.”

:laughings:Oh yeah, them dang KKKers in the US are a real existential threat to whirled peas. These are your "fact checkers", folks. Propaganda indeed.

Anywho, one can only hope allied NATO countries are up to challenge the "threat".

You aren't comprehending the point, and laughing at that which you do not understand.

The point is that Nazis in Ukraine exist, but are massively overblown by Russian propaganda.

Well going by how good their tanks and soldiers have been. I would say that state tv station must be a comedy show.

I found it humorous that human rights orgs in the west have in the past released statements that Ukraine is the only country on earth that has white supremacists and Nazis among its military(and government) yet the historian quoted postulates the KKK in the US as a greater "threat", and equates the threat to that posed by Russia.

What with your hyperventilating over white supremacists, Nazis and fascists in the US, I would think you would be a wee bit concerned about Nazi military units and influence elsewhere in the world. I reckon like the historian you're less than sincere and overblowing the entire matter here at home while downplaying it elsewhere....for some reason. Or maybe you're just a dumbass who doesn't know any better than what you're being told by the Washington Post.

See, you went and muddied it up again for me. What "historian" are you even talking about? Actually, it doesn't matter. Totally irrelevant. Part of Putin's justification to invade Ukraine is to "de-Nazi" the country. It sounds like you think that's a good idea. If so, shouldn't he invade the US to de-Nazify us? Makes sense by your rationale.

The German Nazi party which were a socialist party were actually good friends with the hard left Communists in Russia. And I dont know if IBB has noticed, but it is another hard left leader Putin who has just invaded another country with nearly the full backing of his left, socialist population. Whenever interviewed most of the public back him.

Socialists, communists, lefties are all the same. Agree with what we want or else we just kill you.
