Hi everyone!, sorry if i'm not in the right place, I've recently bought an M-Audio Fast Track Pro, i installed it's respective drivers, uninstalled the asio4all i had, but still can't hear or record anything.

I want to be able to record, hear it, and still hear music or see videos on youtube while i'm working on my songs, is this possible?, please i'm kinda desperate o.o!

I'm using Cubase 5, guitar directly to the first input of the m audio fast track pro, and everything is being run on an I7 pc with 4gb of ram with windows 7 64bits, i'd really appreciate any help possible!, thanks!

Igna.-

also i'd like to add, that i'm using the m audio as input, but i don't have monitors yet, so i want to use my pc speakers as the output (through my pc audio card)

thanks again!

That is likely your issue. Cubase can only use one ASIO driver at a time. Get adapters, and hook up your PC speakers to the FTPro.

yeah, re-thinking about it, it makes sense, lol!, i'll buy some adapters tomorrow, and i'll let you know how it worked!
thanks man!

Ignation.

I have used a Fast track pro on a variety of computers for some 3 years, always a solid performer. Any futher questions or problems, just ask.

Dave.

Hi again, i've already bought the adapters, now i hear through the m audio, and i hear my guitar on the speakers, although with a little bit of latency, not much, but is a bit annoying, is this the best fidelity that m audio can give me? or there's a way to improve that latency? (in properties of the m audio, latency is in 128, lowest), but this is not my main issue now.

My problem is that cubase tells me there's no input available, and when i try to change through the menu ''devices'' it tells me ''The ASIO sample rate is not supporte by one of the USB interfaces!, please check your sync settings in the panel control''

i've already unistalled and re installed drivers but nothing, any suggestion?

i solved it, i enable the stereo mix on sound properties, and disabled the inputs of the m audio, now i hear great my guitar zero latency, i can record, everythings fine,

now my issue is the next one, when i add the amplitube 3 or the guitar rig 4 i hear this crunchy sound that kills me, before the m audio this softwares worked great, i already checked the eq of each soft, it's not that, any idea?

See, you are getting there, bit by bit!
I think the problem is that you are adding to the CPU load when using the amp modellers. I know for certain that Guitar rig need a goodly chunk of horsepower.
Download "dpclat" latency tester from Thesycon - USB and IEEE 1394 Software Development, USB and Firewire Device Drivers development This will tell you if the system can handle the load without cracking. I know you have a stonking i7 PC but if there is enough stuff going on I think it will still struggle. Make sure you are running best performance for "background services" not "programs" and turn off anything you don't need. Wireless adaptors are a big killer.

Dave.

I downloaded it and it says ''This machine should be able to handle real-time streaming of audio and/or video data without drop-outs'', my guitar and cable are not because with real amplifiers i have no noise at all, if i put in the amplitube ''eco'' quality it diminish the noise a bit, but's still there ¬¬
