I hope I posted this in the right forum. If not, please forgive me and direct me to the proper forum.

I just purchased ( ordered ) a condenser mic and a phantom power supply to record vocal only with. I am using a Teac Model 3 and a Teac/Tascam Model 5B sound boards. My quesion is, will the phantom power work without harming the mixer(s) or my reel to reel ? :o

No problem. Other than getting the mic signal, neither the board or your machine will notice any difference. FYI - Not providing phantom on those boards was simply a means of keeping costs down.

Thanks Rick. I kinda thought that might have been the situation but was not sure and wanted to be sure I wouldn't fry anything. Much appreciated.
